Fungal Antibodies
Fungal overgrowth can be the underlying cause of many chronic inflammatory symptoms or conditions, and symptoms can be identical to many other systemic infections, requiring highly accurate lab testing to provide definitive answers.
Antibodies to fungal microorganisms can often provide clues to fungal overgrowths in the human body that are otherwise difficult to detect, due to biofilm formation.
In patients with exposure to other fungal infections or mycoses, such as toxic mold exposure, concomitant fungal infections are common, and must also be detected and treated to ensure total return to health and well-being.
Anti-fungal antibodies enable a high sensitivity of detection over tests like D-arabinitol, because D-arabinitol/creatinine ratio has also been shown to be high in patients without candidiasis, which affects its specificity.
Traditional testing methods for fungal overgrowth rely on microscopic examination or culture to aid in diagnosis which are personnel dependent and have a long turn around time. The Vibrant Anti-Fungal Antibodies test is a multiplex antibody assay to address this need for a high sensitivity test with a rapid turn around time.
The Vibrant Anti-Fungal Antibodies test should be paired with other tests to assess fungal exposure or toxicity in the body, such as the Vibrant Mycotoxins test and/or the Vibrant Gut Zoomer Complete.
